Sometimes , Teaching and Learning is a stressful process. We make the process hard to our students. But , I think this goes vain for actual purpose. As teachers , we should make the process easy, participating, interesting and inspiring.
Paying less attention to grades acquisition and more attention on learning, will aid in reducing stress.
When I was collecting data, students verbalized that graded presentations are so full of stress and anxiety that it actually carries no learning; students are so overwhelmed with stress of grades that learning is suppressed. Educational assessment needs restructuring so that learning should be central focus;....and not the grades.

Both Teaching and learning are the mainly the works to be done by brain rather than much involvement of brain. When there is stress or disruption in the communication or mental ups and downs, I think the process goes to the failure causes distortions of the total process.
Nothing can be achieved under tension either from the Teacher or the students. Both Teacher and students go through stress to teach and learn respectively but proper time and lecture planning can help in tension/stress management. Conducive environment and a good class interactive section will also help both the Teacher and the students

It is possible to reduce the duties of study and try to complete the lessons at the university and not to give the student duties outside his classroom activity
Stress always acts as a barrier in learning process. It effects both learning and teaching. But clarity in concepts always helps in minimizing the stress and ultimately leads to better learning and teaching.
Stress is a mental attitude related with the sensitive behavior either of student or of any individual .In one way this nothing but temperament of the individual as stress is the individual behavior they have to control only with the mind ,study , & to make the practice for remaining calm & quite even if necessary by taking religious study of practice irrespective of caste , creed & religion .

To me Stress ,Depression & other areas have become the order of the day & it applies to every professional & vocational of every categories .I appreciated your valuable suggestion to place subject in educational mode & also under health problem .For students in their schooling period ,the environment to be created in the home as a part of sweet home & parent can play a very fruitful part .
After certain years even teachers can motivate student in their light of their development .As for Health problem apart from the medicine ,faith -healing will also play considerable a good part.
In a very humble mode during my earlier period as an Sr Executive of co's of repute & also as an Adm consultant i have placed the said subject in the management compass & also in the recruitment process of my consultancy areas.
In order to have my own evaluation ,i have also arrange & individual base programmer to keep the participating Calm & Quiet in the midst of Worries-Tension & Frustration .
Yes, thanks for your large , empirical insightful answers here. I think teaching and learning with stress causes a serious hamper in the body and mind and the environment , making huge difficulties in the process and result comes to a negative impulse finally. Only Motivations can lead the process successful if there is nothing to stop the stress.
Stesss and the whole tension in learning, teaching and assessment is a sign of personal responsibility. In my opinion, responsible students are under the strees. Maybe, it could be usefull to give students more opportunities to show their knowledge and to give them different possibilites - written and oral exams, presentations, projects etc. Some of these exams could be repeated if our students feel that they are under some tension. Namely, if they know that their "bad" result isn't final and that they will have another chance...it could be important. Sometimes I think that everything is in the grades (and that' s wrong orientation), but the whole society is interested in their grades and they know it all the time.
Sometimes teachers make the teaching/ learning process so stressful for students by giving a lot of assignments within a short period of time. Stress can be minimize if the number of assignments are just enough not too much. In addition, Students themselves need to be ready to learn before coming to class.
On the part of the teacher, stress can be reduced by planning the lessons before coming to class. He/she should Make sure that all the materials that are required to implement the lesson are prepared before time.
Paying less attention to the students is a crime as like murder of a life. We cannot kill a students with our poor caring. Stress may be a havoc with mental disruptions from the authority for a teacher, which are the major concern todays.
Thank you very much. We can ease the cognitive effort in the classroom when we present the information in an interesting educational style that is likely to be open, questionable and complex. It makes the student think openly and think critically.
I think stress is associated with both teacher and students, concerning me , my stress is related to my Phd research ,the pressure of time management and how to organize my duty towards my students and my commitment with my research.I find it too hard to keep the balance between the two.
In post modern era, teachers have to act as facilitators focusing their full attention on the value of human essence. Teachers' awareness of learners' wants can certainly have a great bearing on the level of stress. Consequently, a stress free classroom can be created by teachers' reflection of their teaching before, during , and after the class . Through establishing rapport and creating a friendly , informal atmosphere , teachers can liberate learners from the bounds of the class liberating them to enjoy learning by making the best use of self directed learning strategies.
What is required is to remain stress free while you teach. My experience is to remain unemotional and teach the students with a smiling face without firing them helps. You may go on saying repeatedly the same thing for submission of assignment but with a cool mind it will prove most powerful In doing so ego clash is avoided and concomitant impact is superb
Artificial education is the burden of the student's mind, and the cognitive burden also burdens the memory of the student ... I think it is the leisure in the process of education that contributes to the process of natural understanding and composite understanding if the teacher understands that the student energy must be given to them in the information and knowledge. ..
