Would 1% DMSO lyse cells?

I dissolved 100mg of biotin in 1000uL of DMSO. I take 10uL of this and biotinylate cells in 1000uL PBS. This means I have 1% DMSO. Would this cause cells to be lysed?

I basically answered this myself by treating cells with biotin in 1% DMSO and checking cell viability with trypan blue.

No, cells are not lysed with 1% DMSO. However, does this increase permeability? I cannot say, yet.
