I am using human lab kits for biochemical tests of rats and mices..but i want to know whether it would make any difference or not???? and want to know about their manufacturers ( animal lab kits)????
First of all, in your question the term “significant” gives the impression that you are looking for a statistical test to prove the difference between methods, but in the explanation is clear that the question is that if you can use commercially designed kits for human biochemical test in laboratory animals. The answer is yes, but depends which biochemical parameters are you looking for. Many biochemical parameters are similar in human and rodents and the chemical principle of the kit doesn't make a distinction between the origin of the sample, but some authors recommends to validate the test in terms of linearity, sensitivity, specificity and precision, because the normal concentrations of the parameters in humans are not the same than in rodents.
