Cooperative Behaviour is rooted deep into the genes of homo sapiens, hence they are one of the strongest surviving species on the planet. It is an adaptation developed by us after repeately facing millions of adversities like 'COVID- 19' etc, in a period of millions of years, in the chain of evolution, that had made us realise that Cooperative Behaviour can surely improve the chances of long term Survival of our species on this planet. Certainly. I talked to some of my neighbours for the first time, although I have beed here for 10 years. Before, everyone was busy doing this and that.

Now we are helping each other more.

In emergency situations, people usually express two types of behavior: cooperation / solidarity on the one hand and competition / egoism on the other. We can see currently both types of behavior. There is volunteering, there is recognition for the work of doctors and nurses, there is a need for mutual support at the level of interpersonal relationships, etc.

But people are afraid. This makes them behave competitively and in egoistically. For example, the mass purchase of goods in supermarkets leads to a shortage and many do not have the opportunity to acquire them. In all countries, antiseptics and store masks have disappeared very quickly due to high demand and the fact that in the beginning everyone bought much more than they needed. There are also many people who continue to be indifferent to the most vulnerable. They do not protect themselves from the virus and this is a threat to the elderly, for example.

So, I think our behavior is contradictory and this will not change.

Finally, I would like to add something here that I think will be important for the next day. Even in the world's most prosperous countries, health systems have been found to be inadequate. Austerity policies have reduced the money spent on health. Consider e.g. that my country, Greece, has been in a state of recession for the last ten years. This, among other things, has seriously damaged the health system and now it has to deal with an unprecedented crisis due to corona. But the same problem exists in almost all countries. It is perhaps the opportunity now for citizens to demand better health systems and better social protection systems. Will this happen?

On the individual level, I observe that the virus inspires fears, insecurity, behaviour of egoistic action from individuals in the consumer habits (irrational buys of goods like toilet paper or pasta in a lot of different countries in Europe, now it is leaven), the run to buy guns and ammunition in USA...This is for me a direct influence of COVID-19. The cooperative behaviour or solidarity is not inspired by COVID-19, it is inspired by the needs expressed by people or the dramatic pictures we see of the overwhelmed hospitals and medical staff, so we recognize that a lot of our neighbours and health care institutions have real problems caused by COVID-19 and this is why more and more people engage. People want to help other people and this is their way to fight against the virus, but first they want to give sense to this extreme situation.

I observe some anarchic behaviour, too, (Corona-Parties, Travelling to the beach in Spain), but I am not sure if this is inspired by COVID-19 or more a respond to the restrictive and oppressive politics in Spain and other countries that cut liberties of the citizens.I think we need more detailed cualitative social research to understand deeper what happens to the people in their day by day practices and the sense they give to it.

Following a capitalistic logic, cooperation only happens where it is economically beneficial. Helping others for altruistic reasons has been happening before.

If we assume that there have been enough resources to end hunger and voting could influence the distribution of resources in that manner, then we could conclude that the existence of a need alone is not enough to instill the needed amount of altruistic help to happen.

If this is a coordination problem, the large attention to this crisis might help altruistic narratives to gain the necessary influence to spark larger cooperation beyond economical considerations.

Personally, I believe that this will not happen on its own, especially not in a global economic crisis that usually strenghten tribalist narratives. It is on us to push altruistic narratives. To be believable, these narratives should not only be actionable but also be complemented by action, active investing of time for example.

My Country is Sierra Leone, based on the experience we had during Ebola outbreak made many people to comply with their behaviour towards Corona Virus. Also from social Media and news from other Country People adhere to behaviour toward Covid-19. Such example is the USA prsident he first denied the treatment for the Covid -19 but now he agreed.

We can consider altruism or cooperation on several levels. The belief that it operates separately from other human impulses is not true so any state such as global altruism is unlikely. When common understandings, threats or pleasures are found people routinely cooperate. Once a means of global cooperation is found which works it is repeated.

Ever since my country had the first COVID-19 case on 5th March '20 to 5 as of now, 2 have already recovered and the other 3 are recovering well. This positive outcome is a result of multitask force coming together to play their role. Affected ones and their families are well-taken care with loving-kindness and compassion assuaging the fear of COVID-19. The impact of fear and worries from COVID is no less than the virus itself.

Nothing has ever been simple; however, I do believe that someday we will attend to a worldwide revolution, but I don't think that it'll be done after the quarantine.

Still in periods of conflict, war and instability, people usually all are on an equal foot, fighting against the oppressor. Changes will be made in our way of life, that's for sure.

The issue of solidarity must be addressed not only at the level of interpersonal relationships but also in a broader context. For example, the fact that many countries follow the herd immunity strategy means that they accept that many people (the elderly, the most vulnerable, etc.) are going to lose their lives. It is a conscious choice that sacrifices lives in order to protect other 'goods' such as e.g. the economy. In my opinion, we can interpret this as a lack of solidarity. Another example is the stance of certain European governments, which refuse to relax austerity policies due to COVID-19, although many countries of southern Europe in particular are facing major economic problems. The COVid-19 crisis is obviously hurting all economies, but we must keep in mind that many countries have in the past made superhuman efforts to overcome the economic and humanitarian crisis that began in 2008 (e.g. Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal). So far, solidarity within Europe concerning COVID-crisis is very inadequate.

looking at the lockdown circumstances all around the world, due to COVID-19, I think this pandemic has given rise to a New Concept - something like, 'TEMPORARY PROGRESSIVE CONCIOUS ENDEMISM ' (TPCE). I look towards it, as a factor that can have a major impact on the future of humanity, As human beings are like 'halted' in fixed areas for longer time now. ln the 21st century as we are looking towards being a multi-planet species, the internal challenges like covid-19 gives us a clear idea of what 'SPACEX' and other space companies like it are trying to achieve. With more such ' TPCE's ' yet to come, with much more larger magnitudes, are we really concious of what the edge of future really wants us to peek into and really think about - 'where we are going towards is a right direction for prosperity of life or not?' is the question still persisting.

When people place themselves in the center of the universe with its gamut of filaments, networks, and scale of magnitude, they miss many clues to the real working out there.

All these "human scale" cultural dramas: public and private rivalry for funding must learn to pull together, countries, power blocks, warring families, "inessential bickering" may at least temporarily become less popular. collaborating and coalition-building may become more important than whose operating system seems at the moment to be ahead or behind. Old thinking there.

One can almost hope that the looters of funds will turn honest when they look at the next gen of their own families. That would be something if people suddenly increased in such wisdom of knowing one cannot "buy one's way out" of certain things.
