We are considering depleting macrophages with clodronate, immediately prior to sub-cutaneous implantation of a B16 or 4T1 tumour cell into a mouse model. There is a lot of data over many many years showing bisphosphonate modulation of macrophages in tumours, once the tumour has been established. But I have not found any published data yet where the macrophages were depleted prior to and during the initiation of the transplantable tumor. I'm sure someone must have tried this already, so any clues to the whereabouts of these data would be much appreciated!

Many thanks in advance,

Melanie
