The normal color of the media after being prepared with water, sodium bicarbonate and FBS should be an intense red color (as far as i know), but this time the color of the media is still red but it appears to be dilluted, although the same volume was used as in other times where i prepared the same medium.

Could this "dilluted" appearance of the media be attributed to the expiration date? The powder has an expiration date of 10/17.

Any other ideas of what could be wrong?
