I see every now and then members of RG asking whether it is possible to quickly publish a paper in the subject X in journal Y.

My questions then are:

1. Why the haste? You should know that it will back-fire, as you're either going to publish in a bad journal, or you're going to fail to publish altogether. (And one of the reasons is that you will be sloppy when you write, because of your haste, and an editor will see that.)

2. If you want to publish something that you can be proud of, isn't it a really bad idea to pick the first lousy journal that comes along? Don't you see the risk of eventually being sorry?

Think again, and good luck!
