Some Journals request a cost before the acceptation of paper. These Journals have a high impact factor other haven't the impact factor. I think this way of acceptation of paper will have a bad influence on the level of published paper. I request your viewpoint .
Most top-ranked journals do not charge for publishing research papers but one may like to pay for Open Access for own article; this is still optional. High impact factors predator journals quote are usually fake and have nothing to do with the Journal Impact Factor maintained currently by Thomson Reuters. Whatever your field of research is, there is absolutely no need to pay for publication of your paper as there are many good journals where publications cost nothing to the author but add up a lot to author's reputation.

I am a chief editor of a journal and I can answer you. Sometimes, the author withdraws his article after the correction of my reviewers for another journal. ie he uses my journal only for the correction. mmmmmm

Most journals that charge for publication are open access ones. This means that these journals do not rely on institution's subscription for revenues, and also, they do not require the author to give up the copyrights . So, I guess, these journals have to survive somehow, and they are doing it by charging processing fees.
Dear Abderrahmane. It's a bad do from some authors. However no worry you have a good journal where you edit good topics. I had read some paper of your Journal that I find it very interesting.

APC fee charged by some journals is to take charge of manuscript preparation and publication. Its not anything bad. Some offer waivers for students, amateur researchers in developing countries. Such journals must not be tagged as 'predatory'.

Highly ranking ISI indexed journals do not charge publication fees unless for open access. However, so many mushrooms charge publication fees and get your articles published sometimes without peer review.
