Because our countries and our society has no respect for science and researchers. A certificate of encouragement of 0.001 euro, a simple sheet of paper (thanks), will never be given to a researcher but against a singer or a footballer .... Mr. Ali we are in 5 th world.

Though a researcher from his publications earn recognition, satisfaction, promotion and moreover it opens the door for new research, but if a researcher will able to earn from his publications (percent of publication cost) that will certainly encourage the researcher to progress in the publishing.

A researcher gets encouragement, recognition, promotion from his publications. He/She feels satisfied.

A reseacher earns name and fame from his/her publications. In addition, publications are helpful in employment and promotion of a reseacher.

Choosing to work in research is like choosing to work as a philanthropist: to spend your life for the benefit of mankind. But, In fact, there are several ways to benefit from your published research, even in the developing world. However, it differs from a place to another.

- Some universities give publication awards

- Grants of which some portion may be given to personal allowances.

- Awards, but they come after long careers and additions to the scientific community.

- The academic positions that come with publications or job opportunities.

All these are indirect financial benefits. But they do not come easily or early, i agree. Also, their value differs according to each researcher's capabilities and acheievements. Some scientists can become millionaires or even multibilionaires. Check Craig Venter, James Watson, Jordon Moore, Gayle Cook, and so many others

I entirely agree with Dr. Abushouk opinion. Moreover, entire society ultimately get benefit from their genuine research publications. Whatever kind of research we have been doing is just for the sake of humanity and society. I think researcher is a member of a society.

Dear Dr. It's true that researcher work along period of this life in his office or Lab.

for the progress of humanity. He has a noble role in the society. However why society no give of this person an equivalent of his work? Why many society profit of his work without cost? I'm the developped country you can publish 8 article for an years like it's doing by my colleague Dr. Hidouri without any filicitation. We give a lot of our health and the time of our familly to doing this work. ..

According to me, publications provide satisfaction and acts as an intimation of research proceeding in the right path.

There is always a big or small story behind a publication.

1. Training of young researcher(s)

2. Documentation and Solution of problem(s)

3. Help other researchers by providing reference materials

4. Promotion of research and academics

This, of course is a big pleasure for researchers to have all these things.

Above all is happiness, that contributes also to satisfaction. In my institution, you will not be promoted unless you published articles. Moreover, In universities, there are incentives during publishing journals in SCI/SCIE journals. Contributes a lot during employment and competition for training.

The other most important thing is the researcher work will have wider audiences and may solve the problems of many.

The researchers are not given any social importance as their works can not entertain the common people. Only the persons related with any act of entertainment of common people are recognised by the mass. The money is running behind such fellows for sponsoring for that reason.

The researchers are satisfied by their contributions for each aspect of life of common people. To them, it acts as a self gift -satisfection.

But I want to share a new news which should be followed by all the journal authorities, as per my consideration.

A new article reviewing agency, PUBLONS, send a colorful scan, signed certificate to all the reviewers with good reviewing for the articles published in the journals they are controlling. It costs nothing to them, but reviewers may think at least something is better than nothing.

I have received three such certificates from them for reviewing articles.

But got only thank you mail for all other reviews.

A publication is much bigger than money. Like my colleague said, its philanthropy work. Maybe with time society will sympathize with us and start paying. But my assertion is that there is no amount of money that can satisfactorily pay for what we do

Sure research give a recognition as scholar and contribution into existing knowledge gives satisfactions. No one feels inferior if he/she has research contribution. promotion and other benefits are also given to him.
