when i'm doing a titration for chloride determination for dry based food, condiments, breadings and others kind of feed products, using silver nitrate and potassium chromate as indicator, some products that have sodium erythorbate turns from the normal color (Red-Orange) to Green-black.

Also in experiments we have found that with more tan 12% of erythorbate de solution turns Green first, and with a concentration of 10 or 4% of the food product the color is first red and later turns to Green.

can you help me to understand wich reaction is happening? i think is maybe an oxidation reaction or something with the silver nitrate.

Thank you
