I am doing low-velocity impact analysis in order to obtain optimized shape for the vehicle's bumper beam, the bumper's element is Shell and also has a Non-Linear material. Please find the attached file.
It seems that the unit of displacement in your graph is meter!
if yes, it look like too smal (3.2 mm) for a frontal low velocity crash.
May be you have read the displecement of wrong direction!
Please check the displecement in UX_1 and UX_3 as well.
The right direction should be UX_1 (X axis along the vehicle lenght).
if you have already checked other direction and you have not read better displecement history please check the mass of your moving body (impactore or vehicle body).
When the moving body is not heavy as enough, it shows reciprocal behavior (go forward and go back as a ball hited to a wall) against the rigid obstacle.
Dear Vahid, the direction of the displacement is correct and it follows my velocity direction, I got the problem which is referring to the wrong connection of my rigid region coupling and related DOFs.
