Why Maximum Parsimony in PAUP 4.0 does not work for me?

I am trying to generate MP tree in PAUP 4.0. When I tried to give following command , It does not go accordingly. The addseq will be always 1 during the run. So why this is happening?? any Idea???

Hsearch addseq=random nreps=1000
