Hello, I don't think you are still looking for answers but I experienced the same situation with TAPE station when I used the tape I previously used in a different machine. The new machine didn't recognize the used lanes and used them. The output we got were like these, nice peaks with no RIN.

It may be that you accidentally used other assay than for total RNA. (eg. mRNA instead of Total RNA).
