Based on the literature analysis it could be concluded that one of the most common composition of synthetic lipids to prepare liposome mixture or model membrane (particularly in the work with cytochrome P450) is the 80/20 mixture of 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-Phosphocholine (DOPC) and 1,2-Dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1'-rac-glycerol) (DOPG). But no article found discusses why this particular mixture was used.

This has to do with the fact that in the most frequently studied membranes (like the inner membrane of E. coli) one can always finds two classes of (phospho-)lipids: neutral (also called zwitterionic) and negatively charged (also called anionic) phospholipids. In:

there are some relevant references indicated where it is states “The anionic phospholipid content in the corresponding membranes is different: 20-25% in the E. coli inner membrane [32], 14-23% in the mitochondrial membranes [33, 34], 11-20% in the thylakoid chloroplast membranes [35, 36], and 10-20% in the ER membranes [37].”
So, that’s why researchers that are using model systems that mimic the biological membranes use 80% neutral (DOPC) and 20% negatively charged (DOPG). See for some example:
