Why is the incubation time of the primary antibody different for IF and flow cytometry?

I read in the literature that the time of the incubation of the primary antibody for IF test is overnight at 4 degrees, but for flow cytometry, this time is 15-60 min at 4 degrees. Why is the time of the incubation of the primary antibody short for flow cytometry?

Can anybody help me?
