I am looking at the expression of a particular protein in the skin by immunofluorescence and I would like to know which cells express this protein.

For that, I stained both cryosections and formalin-fixed skin sections and I obtain different kind of staining depending on the type of sections, the protein seems to be expressed by different cell types/compartment. Could the same antigen be detectable in cryosections but not in paraffin sections ? I tried 3 different antibodies and I always have the same issue, the staining in cryosection is not similar as the staining in paraffin sections.

Thanks for your help.
