Unlike journals that ensured ideas that are not author's own are duly cited and referenced, and also, author's ideas/observations could be backed up by citing other peoples work and referencing them in journals. Which is more like a validation of research findings, if it agrees with previous discoveries, in my opinion.

With these observations which one would you recommend for reading to accumulate scientific knowledge, Textbook/Journal?

Do you think a textbook is reliable enough to be recommended if you have not gone through all the pages and agree with all that is written in it, especially for young or upcoming researchers that may not know whether what is written is wrong or right?

Do you think that there should be a change in this precedence regarding textbooks in the nearest future? Thanks.
