I have a metrohm pH meter which is compatible for ultra pure water (with the conductivity less than 1us/cm). the weird point is that some times a negetive big error is observed which can be solved by putting the glass electrode into raw water for seconds and after rinsing by demineralized water the pH meter would work properly again.

is there any scientific excuse for that?
