I've come across the term twice and was wondering what the term means. Does it concern a degree of 'stemness' these cells have acquired, or a late stage of autophagy/apoptosis?
I'm very curious and would appreciate any clarification.

I think it refers to the stem cells obtained from gliomlastoma at late stages

The autophagy inhibits the development of the tumor, which is the process of the carcinogenesis. In contrast, autophagy is widely known to be promoted in the aggressive tumor cells when they exhibit clonal expansion, invasion and metastasis.
