Which one is enough for maximum efficiency and min toxicity (with min price) when using ready-for-reverse-transfection 96 well plates with mesenchymal stem cells;
Lipofectamine LTX or Lipofectamine 2000 or any other reagent?
PS: I'll use Qiagen's 10 pathway reporter assays along with Promega's Dual-glo luciferase assay system with a number of cell types including primary adipocytes and adipose derived MSCs.
FuGen HD gives me about 38% transfection efficiency and 89% survivals on my zebrafish ES cells.

Thanks for the advice. PEI is much cheaper than the others. But Sigma warns against use of it as a transfection reagent. Becaouse it is patented as JetPEI by a company named Polyplus. I may ask for a free sample from company to try vs Lipofectamine.

FuGene is also a good advice which I haven't thought. Although a little expensive than Lipofectamine LTX, I'll think about it too. Thanks
I was using Lipofectamine 2000, but it is very toxic. I am searching too. :)
I chose FuGENE HD according to the advices from Gan Jen Yang and Ahmet Cingoz. Here is my first results:
Cytotoxicity is very low so far but efficiency is also low. I'll try different concentrations and make some changes in the method.
What was your DNA:Reagent ratio and incubation time with the cells?
Hello, a recently developed reagent for lipid based transfection has shown very good transfection of HESc and iPSC. Lipofectamine 3000 has been optimized for very good gene delevery in hard to transfect cell types like iPSC.
