i think any kind of plasma treatment is adequate ones it imparts functional polar group on the surface and/or change of the topology of the surface. regards

I also would suggest in line with the previous author Mr. Dusting,
that cleaning in low energy plasma with oxygen gas should greatly help.
At least it worked very well in the case of Teflon, when I was trying to get a good adhesion of Cu films on Teflon.
