Dear all,

I want to measure the expression of 9 different genes all belonging to the same gene family. I want to see which of these 9 genes comes to expression in the bean of Phaseolus vulgaris. Therefore I will measure the expression of these 9 genes in 3 different stages of the bean development and check for the expression in the leaves and the roots. I have read already lots of articles and manuals but it is still not clear how I can do this the best with qPCR. I was thinking of using the Relative Quantification method for qPCR. Using three reference genes to normalize and one to compare the expression against. So that I will find which genes come more or less to expression in comparison with this reference gene. Is this a correct way of doing it or are there better ways?

Best regards,

Ramon
