I am going to have 3 different probes in my qPCR work that I am going to do. But I realized that the machine we have in the lab is a Rotor-Gene Q 2plex HRM Platform, saying it has green, yellow, and HRM dye channels? My question is can this HRM (High-Resolution Melting ) can be considered as a separate channel or its there to detect genetic variations in PCR amplicons.

Hi,
unfortunately the HRM channel has very similar wavelength properties as the Green (FAM, SybrGreen) channel. Thus you can not use it as a specific channel for a 3rd probe.
