I need a lot of cells and I am hesitating in choosing which kind of cell line I should use. It is better if it can be cultured in suspension. At the same time, it is biological interesting. I know THP-1 is a good model. Can you give some suggestion?
BTW, I am pretty interested in hepatocytes.

Thanks for your suggestion. Basically, we are looking for the cell line that can be easily transfected/infected and then adapt them for large-scale suspension culture.
We will try HEK293.

If you are looking for a cell line for TGE, then try 293EBNA, if for stable gene expression, then try CHO-DG44 suspention cell line. Both these two cell lines can require high protein expression.
About hepatocytes, there is no hepatic cell line able to grow in suspension as isolated cells, you may try the spheroid mode of culture, for the HepG2 and the HepaRG
