I am in need of a software like chemdraw which will help to draw chemical structures. But the thing is I am not much of a Chemi-informatician.So please suggest to me an easy but accurate software. Please don't suggest any costly ones.. :)
If it is only for chemical structure (2d-structures), Chemsketch from ACD/Labs and Symyx Draw of Accelrys. The Chemsketch has freeware option and the later has a NO-Fee academic version. Check them out
If you're looking for something very similar to ChemDraw (which is the standard in science) you could use either ChemSketch (ACDLabs - free for academia) or Accelrys Draw (former Isis Draw, also free for academia).
If you don't care for too many options and need something simple, you can use something like BKchem (freeware), Marvin (free for academia), XDrawChem or JChemPaint.
absolutely that "MarvinSketch" is one of the best for bigger and professional and have many tools. but for QSAR study and optimazation HyperChem is better. its my experience from Schrodinger,Tripos, ChemOffice, Avogadro, Gaussian and many others to find best soft with acceptable file in other software.
I personally love ACD ChemSketch. I have created a course for learning this tool https://drravirawat.wordpress.com/the-art-of-writing-chemistry-in-electronic-notebooks/
