I need to evaluate in vitro hepatotoxicity substances.
Hi Sandra,
HepG2 might be good option
There is a lab in my department that studies the liver and they use mice primary hepatocytes. Best of luck!
-ED
Primary hepatocytes are the best, but are hard to work with and tricky to purify. I agree with Mathipi - in the first approximation HepG2 will do, and they are easy to handle and grow. I think good enough for a publication. Good luck!
for the in vitro testing of substances you can use:
- Mahlavu
- SNU387
-SNU449
- SNU475
- PLC
- HepG2
- Hep3B
If you want, you may take a look at my publications:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24036604
Good luck!
