I consider which adjuvant to use when sensitizing guinea pigs with 1% Ovalbumin. I read a lot about Alum, however I have also found Freund´s complete adjuvant. Is there any species difference for these or something I should avoid to?

Nowadays, Alum is more popular due to the excellent safety even though it is less powerful than Freund's. Since Alum was first discovered in Guinea Pigs, you can be assured that it is okay for your experiments.
Dear colleaque: Alhydrogel which contain alums which is regularly used because of availability and ease in preparation and less powerful than Freund,s adjuvant.
Thank you dear colleagues. I have chosen AlOH3. However, I had difficulties when dissolving. I had to stir it 20 minutes and it still was not fully dissolved. Is it normal?

Aluminum hydroxide is difficult to solubilize.
In fact, it cannot be dissolved in water or ethanol on its own.
But you will be able to find a plenty protocol to make it into solution by searching the web.
Alternatively, you can purchase solubilized commercial products.
