I am developing my own ELISA for Factor V in mice, however I am having a hard time figuring out how I will be able to run a standard curve. I know people usually use a lypholized powder at a known concentration of the protien of interest to run a standard cuve, but I am having a hard time finding anything out there for Factor V. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I would propose Sigma-Aldrich (now Merck) products for detection purposes.
There are several companies out there that specialize in blood factors and hematology products, and they might be worth contacting: Haematologic Technologies, Enzyme Research Labs, Aniara, and Affinity Biologicals. Also some of the bigger suppliers like Novus Biologicals and ThermoFisher might be worth trying.
I would propose more relevant vendors, such as Sigma-Aldrich (now Merck), Enzyme Research Laboratories and Novo Nordisk (for ref. see Szotowski et al., Circ Res. 2005 Jun 24;96(12):1233-9; Antoniak et al., J Thromb Haemost. 2009 May;7(5):871-8; and Pepke et al., Cardiovasc Ther. 2013 Apr;31(2):115-23).
