Both DNA and RNA are used for epigenetic studies, and both are used for evaluation of different things, DNA is used for the study of DNA methylation an epigenetic mark oftenassociated with the regulation of gene expression, while RNA methylation is an epigenetic mark often asocciated with post-trancriptional control of gene expression.
