Rules of the game may prevent or lessen injuries occurring during a game but will not eliminate injuries altogether. An injury usually occur due to accident or due to poor body mechanic while doing the task at hand. Some accidents can be prevented and others can't. Good playing techniques and having well conditioned muscles and bones will definitely prevent most injuries. A good example of a good working technique that follows proper body mechanics is " lifting ". Many people sustain spinal injuries due to not following the proper lifting technique. They put too much pressure on the spine while lifting due to poor technique in combination of not having good core muscle strength to do the work. As a result, spinal injury occurs. Hope this helps.

Injuries in sport are an accepted consequence of agility based movements performed at maximal or even submaximal speed. Acceleration without any outside influence or impact by itself carries a risk of injury. Add the combustible element of tackling and no amount of game rules will cause the rules of physics to be ignored. Can specific types of specific injuries be lessened as a result of rule implementation and enforcement, specifically brain trauma injuries, the answer is yes, the total number of specific and serious injuries can be lessened. But as a whole, will rule enforcement have a major impact on musculoskeletal injuries in sport? As long as the physical rules of acceleration, change in direction specifically delta v forces and gravity remain constant, so will injury potential.
Prevention is better than cure, furthermore if observations are made on perturbation behaviour then agility based movements ought not give rise to injuries. The risks of injury in exercise and in sport can be perceived as both external (environment) and internal (the self) hence judgement knowledge applied to training offers better decision-making. The tackle in all codes of football becomes a matter of evaluating ones organisational skills, that is the player who controls the ball out plays his/her opponent (opposition rapport).@
