bioinformatics has a big importance in human science and lots are seeking to study that field, so it attracts me to know it's relation with poultry science and how we can benefit from it in poultry industry and is it good for me as a poultry science student to know about that field.

The role of bioinformatics in poultry is quite similar to the use and applications for human . I used it to derive some vaccines for Gumboro disease either for humoural OR cellular immunity , and as well for IBV with different strains such as variant 2 in particular . In addition to other viruses and it can be used for bacterial diseases , and in drug design for poultry diseases. good luck

The number of applications of bioinformatics in poultry science is countless. I can number a few. Microbiome analysis, for example, to track antibiotic resistance genes in the microbiome or check the influence of diet on the microbiome for increasing productivity. Metabolomics also could be done. Genetics analysis for better breeding. So on and so forth. All those analyses would depend largely on bioinformatic tools.
