Ethan McKee this problem usually comes up due to improper PCR product cleanup. Which protocol do you follow to clean your PCR product? Does your PCR product has non-specific amplification?

I use the Invitrogen Chargeswitch clean up and my gels don’t show any nonspecific amplification. I follow the protocol and have gotten good chromats before so I’m wondering what could’ve caused such intrusive background.
