I am using a natural product for the treatment the HCC cell line I have performed MTT assay using the concentration up to 50 micro mole but the cell viability assay does not so consistent result so I am wondering what will be the proper concentration for the treatment of drug. Thank you in advance.
Chand, if you have no previous/literature data on reasonable concentrations, you have to test yourself. Compare a range of concentrations with the excipient as control. If your response curve is not steady, there might be bi- (or more) - phasic effect.
If you need more information about the cytotoxicity of this compound, you can try different concentrations (even higher than 50uM) and/or treatment periods (you can prolong them also). In addition, you can try for comparative reasons some other cell line(s) (cell specific response, you know) and/or cytotoxicity assay. Good lack!
