I am looking to quantify metabolites released into cell media, especially alarmins/DAMPS and cytokines. The concentrations of these inflammatory proteins will be on the nanograms/ml or nanomolar scale. I am not interested in structural determination, but rather identification of metabolites. The technique should ideally be high throughput to detect as many metabolites as possible. It would also be useful if the technique is non-destructive. I have looked into NMR, Mass Spec, IR spec and Vibrational spec:

NMR seems too insensitive and low throughput for the concentrations im looking to detect, unless a specific field strength or cryogenic probes are required?

Mass spec is destructive and has poor reproducibility, and needs extensive sample preparation.

Would appreciate comments on suitability of IR and vibrational spec too

Many thanks
