We are working on polysaccharide based hydrogel (containing high vitamin C), on its drug (Paracetamol also we used Methotrexate salt) release studies using phosphate buffer as a solvent it is changing colour , pH .moreover the UV shows different peaks due to formation of metabolites or our hydrogel is disintegrating the drug . what may be the solution to resolve this problem or the reaction which is going on .
One approach perhaps is to use a more stable and (chemically) inert polymer to serve as the base material for the hydrogel.
We dnt want to change our base polymer .It has some very good properties like antioxidant ,having high vitamin C concentration etc.When we are using it for drug delivery it changes the pH and color of the solution.How can we overcome that problem.
