We want to purify a 88 kDa bacterial protein from extracellular extract through gel permeation chromatography. Kindly suggest suitable resin.
Sephadex or Superdex 75 is recommended for the purification of recombinant proteins. at fractionation range 3000-70000 Da).
Superdex 200 is recommended for the purification of proteins, fractionation range 10 000 -600 000 Da but in my oppinion for you will be good Sephacryl S-100 HR (Mr 1 000–100 000).

Hi there,
First you have to know the oligomeric state of your protein. If you don't know it, Superdex 200 or Superose 6 are the best option. If the protein tends to form multimers S75 would be useless.
This protein is an auto-transporter and has three known oligomeric forms which are hexa, hepta and octameric till now (not fully characterized). The PI of protein is 9.02.
My first choice would be Superdex 200, but I recommend that you check out the link posted by Adam B. Shapiro, as it is a good one.
