I want to electrospin metal nanoparticles. However, I am unsure if it is possible because my metal nanoparticles are in a colloidal suspension. But, is it possible? Thanks!
Thanks for your reply! I am wondering if what you explained above will also hold true for copper. Copper oxidizes easily so I am not sure if it will work together with what you explained above. Thanks!
You should use polymers which have hydroxyl (OH) or amine (NH3) groups on their chains such as PVA or Chitosan. These kinds of polymers have ability to coordinate with metal ions to stablize metal nanoparticles mainly on the surface of the resulted nanofibers.
Please find my paper on fabrication and characterization of chitosan based nanofibers containing silver nanoparticles.
