my thesis is using chi square statistics and after calculating, it requires 130 sample. After i gather data and selected it with purposive sampling. I have 165 data and if i force to choose 130 out of 165, i doubt it will be a bias in my research. i found 2 of my research lecturer is okay with exceeding but not with the other one. I can't provide any literature that says its fine or maybe the maximum tolerance "exceeding" amount. The attachment is the formula sir/mam. Thankyou so much sir/mam for the help and your knowledge

Why would a larger sample ever be problem? Selecting data would not be good idea unless some entries are dishonest
