Some universities have been very swift at developing clear guidelines for handling the coranvirus situation. What is your university doing to meet this challenge?
In my country Iran, all the universities are closed and the classes specially in public universities are held online. I think virtual education can be effective in order to tackle with this situation.
We still do nothing, since we have no identified cases in our region, but in some other Croatian regions they sre calling for closing schools and iniversities for a couple of weeks.
Nothing. Nobody has died in Nigeria yet, so it's all business as usual. However, there is increased concern about shaking hands and being friendly with pets especially cats. Hand washing is more frantically practiced. Its amusing how frantic people get when they hear that death was lurking around and about them.

Maurice Ekpenyong Thank you for your input. Our university, with about 20.000, students closed this morning and will be closed for the weeks to come because of the coronavirus. Most universities in Norway have chosen this solution. We have been asked to start online teaching at the latest 23rd of March. We expect more lock down in the days to come.
A team at the university of Basel has made a large scale computer search of millions of different molecules that could possibly have an effect against the corona virus and in collaboration with others they will test the most promising molecules.

LUT University the same way as other HE-institutions has increased the role of virtual confereces, distance & e-learning - courses and limit mobility to the extent neccassry: one does have to attend lectures, meetings, etc. In case the situation becomes more serious, the State of Finland will put into effect temporarly a sets of law: Emergency regulation package. My university has suspended its classroom teaching activity: classes, tutorials, practices, workshops, conferences, ... This suspension will last at least fifteen days. To avoid the negative impact that this situation may have on our students, the university has organized telematic procedures for teaching and tutorial action. In my Region, a state of alarm and confinement of the citizen in their home has been decreed.

Norway is in a special situation because many have economy for travelling. We have just had a winter holiday and meny have been to Italy and Austria. Most of our infected are connected to this.
As the health committee chairman in my department, due to the shortage of hand sanitizers. We are planning to produce large quantities of hand sanitizers and distribute it among students and the surrounding communities
The constituent universities of University of the Philippines shifted to blended learning and online classes. Also, majority of the affected areas (provinces and cities) with confirmed cases have already put class suspensions indefinitely.
University of Mostar also developed clear guidelines regarding on-line teaching. We will try to switch most of our traditional teaching in next period to our SUMARUM LMS (Moodle) with support of some other tools, for example Google Meet or Hangouts Meet app (Android)...
University of Kashmir Srinagar India has announced called off upto 31st of march and the faculty has been directed to upload e-tutorials for students. Unfortunate part is this our educational institutions remained close even in 2019 due to abrogation of article 370.

My University has given off for students and some administrative agents. However, it offers e-class for students via google class room and moodle.
Some research activities are still working. Colleagues organise e-conference on issues of interest. PhD students follow the course of Publons Academy. We try to maintain.
Announced the University vacant for about 20 days, let the students go home and suggested to stay at home for maintaining social distance. We are using mask if go outside home, washing hands by soap for 20 second when return home. And finally we are praying to Allah for safety for all.

Our college in the Philippines is conducting classes and share lessons through online engagement. We are using asynchronous system using different online platforms. We are using google classroom, rocket chat, Edmodo, Group Chat, and many others at the convenience of professors and students.
