I am conducting a mixed methods research. I already chose a software for quantitative data.
I would like to know what is your favourite qualitative data analysis software for transcribed interviews?
I used Atlas.ti few years ago for a qualitative research. But, I found that the hierarchical structure was deficient.

I use QSR Nvivo - it has fantastic functionality and is also very flexible. You are able to have multiple users coding and analysing the same data set and able to track and follow their activity.
I switched from Atlas.ti to MAXQDA (with Dictio) a few years ago, and love it. It allows for hierarchical coding and I find the Dictio add-on to be great for large data (like those collected via open-text boxes on surveys). I just started exploring Dedoose for another project, but don't have enough experience with that yet to say anything of substance about how it operates.
I was considering switching for the same reason. Thank you convincing me!
I have tested many, and would also recommend NVivo. As opposed to other software, the time investment required to make a full use of it is limited.

Using qualitative software, you have the option of transcribing audio to text or working on the audio or video file directly. Atlas.ti has already released its version 8. For me it is the best qualitative software.

I vote for NVivo too. A very user-friendly software with many technical capabilities for data synthesis and analysis.

I tried both Maxqda and NVivo, I prefer by far Maxqda.
It's more user-friendly and intuitive, and works the same in Mac and Windows (important for collaborations). Some of the modules are really useful (like web clipper, Dictio, stats, transcription mode, free reader for colleagues not owning a licence ...) . The import and export options are also really good.
