.esav and .rst extension takes a lot of space in the system drive making the system slow. Files such as .esav, .osav, .x000, .rst, .rdb etc, if are important for restart of the ANSYS file, then if I delete them won't it cause any issues with the opening of ANSYS .db file?
I disagree that you don't need the rst file. This is the result file that you need to read if you want to see your results later. If you delete it, you will have to run the analysis again to look at results. This may not be a problem for small models, but imagine if you need two days for the solution. You wouldn't want to wait for two days every time you want to see a result.
If the result file is too big (the largest I have ever had was 300GB) you can make it smaller by writing not every substep, but every second or every third, or even every tenth if you don't need precise results. Also, you can exclude from the result file the type of results you would not need.
Yes, they will cause issue with the .db file as .rst file keeps the results of the analysis without .rst file you will be unable to do the post processing. You need to redo the analysis for the results if you delete the .rst file. The .rst file takes a lot of space as depend upon the the number of sub-steps if more sub-steps are there then the space of the .rst extension will increase. If you delete rst file then after restart you will not be unable to get the previous results. Also, ANSYS will show some error regarding the previous results and come with a suggestion to redo the analysis.
The esav extension is a permanent file used to save the element data.

No need to worry about esav and .rst extension file. its post processing file,after solve ansys you have to save the file .db extension in separate folder then you can delete the esav and .rst file. but .db files takes few min to open the analysis file
