I tried solid65, solid187 for modeling anisotropic material but they were not acceptable by ansys. moreover, I am working on tensile test but the program asking me to input the shear and compression data also why?

Since you would like to simulate anisotropic material, stress condition changes between vertical and lateral direction , the material is fail by shear. If you have not defined the limiting normal and shear stress then there will be a numerical instability during the calculation stage. I suggest you to perform laboratory test mainly using direct shear test and find out the limiting normal and shear stresses. You can perform triaxial test also for evaluating the properties of material. Also, i recommend you to read ANSYS manual for better understanding about the simulation of anisotropic material in the model. all the best in your research..

An anisotropic material is described by a set of parameters that you need to determine from the experience or "invent" yourself.
But they need to be introduced.
