The Boron doped diamond electrode is very sensitive. I need to know how hplc uv DAD compares so that I can perform easy Limit of detection testing without making up too many samples, and even discuss my results more efficiently.

In my previous life I would routinely achieve an LOQ of about 50 ng/mL with an LC/DAD. An LOD is about as 'fictional' as the little green men from Ireland (Leprauchans).
An ISE (ion selective electrode) would be challenged at 1 ug/mL or 1,000 ng/mL (a factor of 20X higher).
I don't know about the sensitivity of the BDD or even what you could use it for but electro chemical detection in chromatography using the more prevalent electrodes such as gold, platinum, or carbon paste is a variable thing as far as precision. It is also more difficult to set up if you are going to use a pulsed wave form.

I meant ng/ml detection of UV detection vs electrochemistry for my particular analytes so that I can adjust because electrochem performed aswell as other analysis but not validation by hplc. DAD detectors could be more sensitive than mono UV detectors. 10 to the -10 Is 50ng per ml so probably not. Plus it did not say in the detector guides as this is trade secret.
