I want to isolate Intestinal epithelial cells and intestinal myofibroblasts. In some protocols, I found they use DMEM containing sorbitol to wash cells after collagenase/dispase incubation. Do they use sorbitol to neutralize collagenase/dispase?

But in these two websites, none of them mentioned that collagenase/dispase can be inhibited by sorbitol.

Thanks a lot.
