What is the relation between the mass flow rate and flow area in DPM injections in Fluent? (Please see description) ?

I have been trying a lot to control the injection flows in the discrete phase model in fluent. But the on hand calculations are are far different from the numerical values provided in fluent.

We can set the value of flow rate only by hit and trial to get a desired flow or movement.

Nothing specific is given in manual.
