I heard about this topic in latter parts of a PhD student's seminar concerning exposure assessment. At that part, there was a brief description of PBPK (Physiologically-Based Pharmacokinetic ) models which I interested in.

I wonder how can I approach to this topic considering that I am an environmental health student. Could somebody explain what are the possible applications of PBPK in environmental health, more specifically in exposure assessment?

My dissertation is about risk assessment of PAHs in Leafy vegetables and I am curious whether PBPK or PBTK modelling is applicable for my current work or not (make it more credible and such)

I would really appreciate any enlightenment.

Thanks in advance.
