I am treating C2C12 mouse muscle cells with 0.2mM palmitic acid and I want to know generally how much free fatty acids enter muscle cells after a meal to give relevance to the concentration.
The physiological range of palmitic acid in the blood after a meal will depend on the amount of palmitic acid consumed in the meal with other saturated fatty acids and carbohydrates. Research work with appetite contrl will regulate the physiological range of blood fatty acids. The intake of caffeine in the diet may completely effect palmitic acid and glucose metabolism after consumption of a meal.
