If there is a precious but limited asset to distribute within a community, then we have to consider which principle should be applied to be fair. What do you think? Should the responsible leader decide:

a) all get the same amount (principle of equality)

b) every member gets as much as he needs to be satisfied - at a appropriate level, without greed (principle "suum cuique")

c) every member get his part in relation to his achievements for the public good (principle of merit).

Let us know if you have yet a better proposal.
