Yes, thank you for your answers, dear Colleagues. Everything will come true, but sometimes differently than we imagined.

The idea to give a hopeful answer by a musical piece has touched me. It is a tradition in Germany that the 9th symphony of Ludwig van Beethoven is performed, with the finishing choir of Schiller's poem, "Freude, schöner Götterfunken" (Joy, beautiful spark of the gods).

I would like to summarize the answers given in the wish that every person, even those who find themselves in a desperate situation, may experience the situation at least once in the year 1919, to rejoice in an extraordinary way. And perhaps not once a year, but once a month, or even once a week.

I think the Brexit vote last night in the British Parliament put quite a damper on all our hopes and good wishes for 2019. But let us not be discouraged. The year lasts another eleven and a half months.
