I’m planning to investigate vincristine and vinblastine compounds production via plant cell culture in Catharanthus roseus plant. I read about various methods for extraction and determination in the publication. I’ve attached and would like some advice about recommended techniques and the most efficient method as cost and time are limiting factors. also, I’m really looking to find out why both compounds are very expensive, although the plant is very common?
